En attendant de le retrouver en WRC2 aux Canaries, Nikolay Gryazin s’est bien amusé ce week-end en remportant assez largement cette première épreuve du championnat d’Europe. Derrière le Russe, Yoann Bonato s’est vite retrouvé en bataille avec José-Antonio Suarez, un adversaire qu’il connaît décidément bien. Ce dimanche, le Français a finalement gagné son duel face à l’Espagnol, et le pilote Citroën poursuit sa belle histoire en Espagne après des succès aux Canaries et en Catalogne lors des dernières années.

Au 4e rang, l’Italien Andrea Mabellini a été trop inconstant pour espérer mieux, mais reste le premier pilote parmi ceux qui seront engagés sur tout le championnat ERC.

Au 9e rang final, Stéphane Lefebvre avait tout à apprendre ce week-end et il faudra attendre mi-juillet pour le revoir en Italie. Après des problèmes de freins et de valve pop-off, Mads Ostberg a été ralenti par un souci de transmission dans cette dernière spéciale, perdant une place face au jeune Suédois Johansson.

En ERC3, le Français Tristan Charpentier remporte son premier succès sur une épreuve internationale. En ERC Junior, l’Espagnol Sergi Perez l’emporte malgré la grosse fin de course du suédois Carlberg.

RÉACTIONS DES PILOTES

T.Charpentier	Nous avons eu un week-end assez difficile, aujourd’hui nous avons eu une grosse chaleur et où nous avons perdu beaucoup de temps. Nous avons de la chance d’être ici. Je tiens à remercier M-Sport Pologne pour avoir fait rouler la voiture et mon ingénieur. Ce n’est pas le rythme que nous souhaitions mais nous sommes heureux d’avoir gagné.
J.Verstappen	Bien sûr, je suis content de ma victoire au Masters et j’ai déjà plus de 50 ans, mais mon objectif est quand même plus haut. Nous devons beaucoup travailler pour nous améliorer.
S.Lefebvre	“C’était un gros week-end, nous avons beaucoup appris avec la voiture et les pneus. Nous sommes partis de zéro et nous avons progressé de boucle en boucle et d’étape en étape.”
M.Johansson	Ça a été un super week-end, c’était ma première épreuve sur asphalte en Rally2. Nous avons réalisé de bons chronos, notamment le premier de ce matin. L’après-midi a été de l’apprentissage avec les nouveaux pneus. J’ai eu trois jantes cassées, j’ai donc dû être très prudent ici.
M.Ostberg	La transmission a cassé au départ. C’est comme ça, rien à faire.
M.Marczyk	J’attends juste les gars derrière nous. Peut-être que nous obtiendrons quelques points Powerstage. Nous avons bien commencé avec les qualifications, puis nous avons rencontré quelques problèmes dans le rapide où je n’étais pas confiance. Terminer dans le top cinq est mieux que l’année dernière.
A.Mabellini	Enfin, nous avons retrouvé le sourire. Merci à tous nos sponsors, supporters et à notre équipe The Racing Factory. Nous sommes heureux, merci à tout le monde et à Virgi qui est toujours à mes côtés.
JA.Suarez	Je me sens vraiment bien, ce fut un week-end difficile. Nous avons quand même continué à attaquer et à avoir confiance en nous, donc nous voici sur le podium et heureux.
Y.Bonato	C’est vraiment incroyable. Pourquoi j’aime l’Espagne ? Mon grand-père est espagnol et je connais une chanson en espagnol, c’est peut-être pour ça ?”
N.Gryazin	Le week-end a été assez difficile. Mais je tiens bien sûr à remercier Jaroslav Orsak et Jaroslaw Koltun. L’équipe a fait du bon travail, tout le monde a évolué dans une bonne ambiance, donc cela m’a permis de rester motivé. Et aussi merci à Janek, mon ingénieur. Je sais qu’il n’aimera pas que cela soit mentionné ici,mais je pense qu’il sera heureux aussi.
